With your help, Calvary seeks to help all students to discover how God has uniquely gifted them and how they can make a difference in their world. We teach youth to think, including hands-on experiences and self-directed projects. To better honor each aspect of these experiences, we need sufficient facilities and excellent resources.
To meet the needs for these programs, Calvary needs your help to establish a home for our beloved programs to provide a comprehensive experience for our students with the following:
Performing art students have a space to perform – but need a dedicated space to prepare. Athletes have courts and fields – but no locker room to change clothes or shower after contests and practices. The agriculture program and woodshop operate out of half of a storage garage. The other half of the garage is used as a weight room for student athletes.
To meet the needs for these programs, Calvary needs your help to establish a home for our beloved programs to provide a comprehensive experience for our students with the following:
Fine Arts Wing
- Performing Arts Classroom for choir, band, theater and competitive speech
- Art studio for 2D and 3D art projects
Space for athletes of all sports
- Locker rooms so athletes no longer need to change clothes in classrooms
- Weight Room to build students’ bodies and minds
- Permanent bleachers on east side of the gym
Agriculture Center
- Classroom space and lab space
- Outfitted for Woodshop
Protecting and tending to God’s people
- Hardened space for shelter from storms
- Additional concrete parking
Students, teachers and coaches would be blessed to sink their roots in a permanent location so their programs have room to grow. Adding these facilities will be a significant investment in the student experience at Calvary.
Estimated cost of the improvements for our students: $3.5 million
Amount already raised: $2.9 million
